“Waipa School was fortunate to receive a visit from the Life Education Trust in Term 4 this year.
Prior to the visit, Stephanie clearly communicated with the school re topic choice and timetabling. Stephanie was always positive and professional in her approach towards our staff and students and was also very flexible and happy to adjust her timetable when unplanned events cropped up.
The sessions Stephanie taught, covered a range of topics and activities, which all related to best health, wellbeing and life practices.
The lessons our students participated in, were well organised and well delivered.
Steph's positive manner and respect for our tamariki, along with the relevant content, the excellent activities and the hi-tech resources, all ensured our students were highly engaged and keen to participate.
In my opinion, the skills being taught through Life Ed's programmes, are crucial to the health and wellbeing of today's tamariki.
Life Ed is an excellent, valued and extremely beneficial community resource, one which we thoroughly hope will continue to be made available to all NZ schools in the future.
We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to participate in Life Ed this year and we are already looking forward to next year's visit. The letters and cards our students wrote for Steph, give a good indication of the learning and big ideas they gained from their sessions.
